PT Tip: Get Rid of These 'Therapy' Exercise Bands!

Please try these fabric workout straps instead. I shot a video with my why!

Share

I just came from a home PT visit earlier today and my client was complaining her daughter’s old latex stretch bands that were hanging around from her past knee rehab almost cost her an expensive trip to the vet. Her dog almost swallowed them, but they were able to retrieve just in time!

Just one more reason to get rid of these bands!

Besides being a possible choking hazards, bad for the environment, and just plain crap these latex bands have always been on my list of crazy bad physical therapy practice ideas (and some therapy clinics are sadly still using them).

I’ve been wanting to film a video on what I use instead and why for some time so today after my clients unfortunate experience I finally did.
